The South Jersey town of Millville is rich in history, most famously known as the home of the Millville Municipal Airport, America's first Defense Airport. Thunderbolt Area Federal Credit Union, located at the entrance of the airport, is a part of that history and holds quite a story of its own.

The credit union's current President, Bob Millard, has been involved with Thunderbolt Area FCU since its founding, in one way or another. At the ripe age of 8, Bob discovered his interest and talent in accounting - and credit unions - when his father, Asher K. Millard, the first Treasurer of the credit union, entrusted him to double check his year-end calculations.
Since then, Millard and his family have played an integral part of the credit union's evolution.

Don't miss the in-depth look at the humble beginnings and major changes of Thunderbolt Area FCU in this week's Weekly Exchange.
