Thunderbolt Area FCU Celebrates 60th Anniversary

Thunderbolt Area Federal Credit Union, originally chartered in 1951 as Airwork Employees Federal Credit Union, celebrated its 60th anniversary on Saturday April 16, 2011.

Bob Millard, President and CEO noted in his remarks to the more than 125 members present that the credit union has grown from serving 8 members in 1951 to more than 2,700 members and assets have grown to more than $17 million as of March 2011.

Thunderbolt Area FCU is located in Millville, N.J. and is both a SEG credit union and designated to serve the underserved in most of Cumberland County.

Door prizes at the celebration included a 42" LG flat screen television and gift cards. Family packs of tickets to the upcoming "Wheels and Wings" Air Show, which will be held at the Millville Municipal Airport on Memorial Day Weekend, featuring the US Navy "Blue Angels" Aerobatic team, were awarded to "lucky" members as well.

Thunderbolt Area FCU is a participating sponsor of the Air Show.

Advance ticket sales for the Air Show are available through the credit union for $10.00 per adult and $5.00 per child through May 23, 2011. Tickets at the door will be $15.00 and $10.00. Call 856-327-5755 for information.
