Financial institutions must ensure they correctly interpret Regulation E and comply with all the requirements for processing error disputes associated with debit card transactions. The error resolution process for debit card transactions has very specific requirements for disclosing information throughout the investigative process. Each of the error resolution requirements outlined in Regulation E will be reviewed. This session is intended for those that work directly with debit cards, work in an audit or compliance role, or interact with debit cardholders.

ABOUT THE PRESENTER – Heather Briganti, AAP, MACHA

Heather Briganti is Director of Education at MACHA, The Mid-Atlantic Payments Association, where she is responsible for delivering training and education on electronic payments. Heather has more than 25 years’ experience in the financial services industry developing and managing electronic payments channels and products for consumers.

Before joining MACHA, she was Senior Vice President of Electronic Banking and Administrative Vice President of ATM Services at a $16 billion regional bank with more than 300 branches and 1600 ATMs. Heather received a Bachelor’s in Secondary Business Education from the University of Maryland and has held several council and board positions with various card networks and educational organizations.
