Many members are asking for debt modification in today’s market. This presentation covers how to identify troubled debt restructurings and what is the accounting treatment that follows.

Speaker: Gregory Schwartz joined LarsonAllen as a principal with the credit union practice, an industry the firm has been serving since the late 1970s. His focus is on delivering audit and consulting services to credit union clients. He was formerly a partner with McGladrey & Pullen’s national credit union practice, which he co-founded in the late 1980’s. As a leader of that group, he monitored industry developments, continuously updated the firm’s approach and tools, and trained credit union audit staff. Schwartz has experience in agreed-upon procedure engagements, opinion audits, generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) generally accepted audit standards (GAAS) credit union electronic data processing (EDP) service center reviews, and review and evaluation of internal audit functions.
