HIGHTSTOWN, N.J. – NJCUL President/CEO Paul Gentile has announced that three members of our state’s congressional delegation will address New Jersey credit union advocates at Credit Union House on Tuesday, December 13.
Participants will hear from Representatives Frank LoBiondo (R-2), Scott Garrett (R-5) and Bill Pascrell (D-8). Political, legislative and regulatory briefings by senior CUNA staff will round-out the day-long event.
“This is a special opportunity to showcase credit unions and talk about our latest political initiatives, namely the need to get the Member Business Lending cap increased,” NJCUL President/CEO Paul Gentile said. “Legislation is pending and with the current economic environment we have a good story to tell about how credit unions can empower small businesses with new capital,” he continued.
“I call on our professionals and volunteers to join us for this important event and bring the story of credit union cooperation to Washington,” he concluded.
There is no charge to participate, and carpooling from the League headquarters is available with a 7 a.m. departure.
Credit union professionals and volunteers interested in participating should email Mary Zelinsky at email@example.com. Additional information is available by contacting Chris Abeel at firstname.lastname@example.org.
