HIGHTSTOWN, N.J. – On Wednesday morning, New Jersey Credit Union League President/CEO Paul Gentile was interviewed on 94.3 FM during the “Lou & Liz in the Morning” show.
“Lou & Liz in the Morning” airs on weekdays from 5:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. Hosts Lou Russo and Liz Jeressi offer Monmouth and Ocean County news, weather, traffic, and sports. Gentile was interviewed Wendesday at around 8:30 a.m.
Gentile explained to listeners the differences between credit unions and banks, the main difference being credit unions’ non-profit structure. “When you belong to a credit union, all we do is work to serve you with your lending and savings needs. We don’t have to please shareholders with high profits, so we’re about giving back to the membership,” Gentile explained.
He also went on to point out the New Jersey Credit Union League’s “Banking You Can Trust” consumer awareness campaign, its advocacy efforts, and the education it offers.
Gentile pointed listeners to aSmarterChoice.org for more information on credit unions and to find one to join.
