Rutgers FCU Brings Reality Fair to University's 'Life After Rutgers' Event

NEW BRUNSWICK, N.J. – Rutgers Federal Credit Union hosted its third Reality Fair at Rutgers University on the college’s Busch Campus on Friday. The Reality Fair was held in conjunction with a special event titled "Life After Rutgers", which included networking, resume assistance, headshots, and professional wardrobe assistance from Macy's.

Students were given an online survey to provide financial information, including estimated annual salaries and credit scores, which the New Jersey Credit Union Foundation used to create customized budget worksheets for each student.

New Jersey Credit Union League Marketing and Communications Specialist Natalie Spangenberg led students through an orientation before letting them navigate through the Fair’s lifestyle booths, where they spoke with volunteers from various credit unions and the University itself. After visiting each booth, students then sat down with financial counselors to learn from their experience and receive advice on how they managed their finances.

Thank you to the volunteers from Rutgers FCU and Rutgers University as well those from Credit Union of New Jersey, Healthcare Employees FCU, the New Jersey Credit Union League, Novartis FCU, Symbionce, and West Orange Municipal FCU.

Additional photos are available on the Foundation’s Facebook page.
