BLOOMFIELD, N.J. – At Tuesday evening’s North Jersey Chapter Meeting of Credit Unions held in Bloomfield, N.J., two door prizes were to be randomly raffled off at the conclusion of the meeting. Garden Savings Federal Credit Union decided to offer a third.

“It occurred to me that it would be a fantastic opportunity for us to help the League promote their upcoming Reality Check conference later next month,” said Garden Savings FCU President/CEO and new NJCUL Chairman Lou Vetere.

Moments later Vetere offered up a $500 voucher to attend the Reality Check conference to the lucky winner, provided that the winning credit union was under $100 million in assets. That winning credit union was ADP Federal Credit Union, located in Roseland, New Jersey. Vetere presented the voucher to ADP FCU CEO Juliet Jaremko, who stated that she would be sending at least one employee to attend now.

“We’re pleased to be able to cross-promote the League’s efforts as well as show how much value the conference actually provides to a credit union or individual that may not otherwise have attended,” said Vetere.

Garden Savings itself is sending five of their employees and board members to the conference. “It’s packed with value and you learn a lot,” said Vetere. “In addition to my own team, I encourage other credit unions to attend as well and take advantage of all there is to learn at Reality Check 2012.”
