BRIDGEWATER, N.J. - On Monday, May 9th, Financial Resources FCU held its 5th Annual Charity Event benefiting Parents Of Autistic Children (POAC), an organization whose mission is to improve the lives of children and adults with autism by providing scientifically-based training to parents, teachers, and other direct service providers.

Lena Matthews, President and CEO of Financial Resources FCU and Chairman of the credit union's Foundation, and Kim Frey, Manager of Retail Operations for the credit union, presented a check for $25,000 to Gary Weitzen, Executive Director of POAC at the Foundation's charitable event. It was Frey who recommended POAC as recipient of this year's event proceeds. Kevin Buist, Senior Vice President Information Technology of Financial Resources FCU, won the 50/50 but he generously donated his share of the $1,110 raffle to POAC.

The event also supported Carrier Clinic with the proceeds of the silent auction. Carrier Clinic is dedicated to providing the best care and treatment to persons who are struggling with emotional and behavioral distress, and addictive and psychiatric disorders. Matthews presented a check for $2,500 representing the silent auction proceeds to Richard Sarle, President and CEO of Carrier Clinic.
