CU Leaders Learn the Value of Communication at the First ELS Session of 2011

MONROE TOWNSHIP, N.J. - On Tuesday, March 8th, eleven credit union leaders gathered to attend the first Executive Leadership session of the year titled "The Challenges of Leadership: Communicating From the Center". Professionals ranging in title from CEO to MSR/Loan Manager attended, sharing their experiences with relationship-building, motivation, and other topics pertinent to leaders.

With his broad experience in coaching leaders, Board Governance and Strategic Planning Consultant Dan Clark facilitated this open-discussion session. Clark covered topics such as how to apply what you know about motivation with individuals you count on, the role of governance as an executive-enabler while maintaining control over critical functions, and communications from interpersonal to group speeches, coaching, and building a culture of candor.

Attendees shared very positive feedback regarding the session. They found the sharing between participants and the relaxed group discussion very helpful. Attendees benefitted from the discussion on board governance and communication throughout session and found speaker Dan Clark engaging.
