HIGHTSTOWN, N.J. - The National Credit Union Foundation (NCUF) has activated the online disaster relief system CUAid.coop to raise money for credit union people along the East Coast affected by Hurricane Sandy.
Credit union supporters in every state can now make donations at www.cuaid.coop. CUAid is the only program of its kind that enables credit union employees, volunteers, and members, as well as credit unions and credit union organizations across the U.S., to contribute directly to support other credit union people.

Grants will only be given to credit union members, employees or volunteers.There is a limit of one grant per family living at the same address. The grant amounts range from:
Critical - $1500
Very Serious - $1000
Serious - $500
The grant amount is determined by the amount of uncovered insurance losses.
Grant applications will be available until December 1, 2012.
