Why Join the New Jersey Credit Union League?
Our mission is to assure the vitality and future success of
New Jersey credit unions by being the primary source of services,
information, education and representation in the state of New
Jersey.

and support possible to our member credit unions.
Government Affairs
The League acts as an advocate for credit unions on both the
federal and state government levels. We monitor legislation in
Trenton and Washington, D.C. to ensure that the credit union
movement is being represented in any issue impacting our operations.
As a member, you enjoy these benefits:
- Opportunities to take part in lobbying efforts and meet state
legislators
- Political fundraising on your behalf by CULAC
- Grassroots political action by the League's own lobbyist
- Admittance to an invitation-only CULAC
forum held at our Annual Meeting & Convention
Regulatory Affairs
As regulations governing credit unions change, it can be a challenge
to keep up with the changes and to determine how the changes
affect your credit union. The league has a full-time legal counsel
on staff and retains the services of another when necessary.
In addition, the League keeps in close contact with the NCUA
regulators to keep abreast of regulatory issues.
In addition, the League will soon offer an online compliance
tool to member credit unions "InfoSite." This dues supported
service will provide answers to regulatory questions at the click
of a mouse.

Education
Developing the skills of our member credit union's personnel
is vital to the success of every credit union. The League has
an assortment of educational opportunities for credit unions
of all shapes and sizes.
NJCUL Members have access to the following opportunities:

such as NJCUL's Annual Meeting & Convention and Leadership
Conference
- Availability of National Certification Programs covering
virtually any subject and any level
- Opportunities to attend special seminars and workshops led
by experts in the field
- Access to materials and programs like the National Endowment
for Financial Education (NEFE) High School Financial Planning
program
Communication
The League disseminates news relating to legislative and regulatory
matters, education and training opportunities, products and services,
and activities involving New Jersey credit unions and the people
in the credit union movement. The League monitors New Jersey's
230 plus print media publications, along with national media
outlets, to ensure that our members are always being represented
in the best possible light.

about the New Jersey credit union movement
- The ActionPack, a monthly packet of information and promotional
materials mailed to your CU
- CEO Confidential Chat, an exclusive email newsletter just

Program. This amazing programs allows for maximum advertising
exposure, on a minimal budget, with the aid of other member
credit unions
