Chapter officials met over the past several months to discuss the current chapter system and the need for increased participation among credit unions. Out of those meetings grew a new and more structured chapter system that not only revamped the way meetings will run, but also redrew each chapter's county boundaries forming four distinct chapters.
The four new chapters are:
- Northern Chapter of Credit Unions
- North-Central Chapter of Credit Unions
- South-Central Chapter of Credit Unions
- Southern Chapter of Credit Unions
NJCUL hopes that the changes in regional structure of the chapter system will encourage more participation from credit unions as well as a renewed spirit to all those involved in the current chapter system.
Below you will find a link to download the newly created chapter system guide that contains information regarding these changes, lists of credit unions by chapter, bylaws for each chapter, chapter official applications, and more. This guide will also be mailed to all credit unions sometime next week. We encourage you to download the Guide and read through the information: http://www.njcul.org/Data/Sites/1/chapters/chapter-guide.pdf
We hope that you find that these changes reinvigorate the chapter system here in New Jersey. If you have not been to a chapter meeting before, we encourage you to take some time and attend a meeting in September. Chapter meetings serve as great networking events as well as forums to learn about various issues facing the industry.
If you have any questions or concerns regarding these changes, please feel free to contact your local chapter officials or NJCUL at 800-792-8861.
Please note that Chapter Official Applications are due back to the League by August 10, 2011. The elections will occur via an online system. More details on this will be released after August 10.
