Data Center / Computer Operations Team Leader

McGraw Hill Federal Credit Union
Reports To:  Director of Operations

SUMMARY
Directs and coordinates activities of workers engaged in computer operations by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.  Plans and develops policies and procedures for carrying out computer operations.

  • Meets with technical staff to discuss progress of work, resolve problems, and ensure that standards for quality and quantity of work are met.
  • Develops plans for implementation of new products/projects, coordinates process with technical staff.  Provides well-defined plans including procedures, deadlines, and accountability.
  • Directs the department's personnel administration activities including job assignment, training, performance evaluation, and compensation review.  Adjusts hours of work, priorities, and staff assignments to ensure efficient operation, based on workload.
  • Consults with software and hardware vendors and other establishment workers to solve problems impeding computer processing.
  • Meets with users to determine quality of service and identify needs.
  • Meets with senior management to determine impact of proposed changes in hardware or software on computer operations and service to users.
  • Maintains awareness of changing trends and regulations which might effect the department and act as requested.
  • Ensures that technical staff utilizes technology to provide CU staff with a fast, accurate, and secure method to access information, in order that members can be served in a highly efficient and effective manner.  Ensure support is provided to internal staff in a professional, courteous, and timely manner.
  • Evaluates new software and hardware to determine usefulness and compatibility with existing software and hardware.
  • Makes purchasing decisions based on bid price provided, monitoring to ensure that accurate records are maintained.
  • Develops and maintains a XP Systems Disaster Recovery plan in coordination with Network and Security Team Leader
  • Evaluates proposed data processing projects to assess adequacy of existing hardware, and recommends purchase of equipment.
  • Develops an annual budget, provide justification when needed.  Review and compare actual results to planned budgetary performance, preparing reports reflecting results and monitors expenditures.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Qualification Minimum

  • Bachelor degree in related field or agreed upon equivalent.
  • Three to five years of related work experience in a financial institution with progressively responsible duties. 
  • Other related job experience may be accepted in lieu of financial institution experience.
  • Demonstrate good public relations skills
  • Possess high level of interpersonal skills
  • Possess problem-solving skills
  • Computer literacy required, personal computers, servers, printers, scanners and other peripheral equipment

DIRECTOR OF LENDING

Reports To: Chief Operating Officer

SUMMARY
Responsible for developing new business, underwriting, structuring, and the closing of consumer and commercial loans, as well as maintaining and servicing an existing portfolio. Represents the credit union in local community through active participation in community affairs and participates in marketing all of the bank’s products and services. Manages the implementation of consumer loan (including real estate) policies, underwriting standards, procedure and guidelines.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Responsible for compliance and quality control of consumer and commercial loans.
  • Oversee the approval policy ensuring applicability.
  • Monitor an existing commercial real estate loan portfolio to ensure proper risk ratings and early identification of potential problems.
  • Responsible for obtaining and utilizing secondary market real estate loan pricing.
  • Fulfilling regulatory reporting requirement.
  • Analyzes lending policies/guidelines and underwriting standards and makes recommendations.
  • Negotiate terms, structure loan financing based on risk considerations and present credits for approval to appropriate levels of authority with the bank as required.
  • Development of new loan products.
  • Maximize bank profitability through appropriate pricing of new loan originations, fee income, and selling of all credit union products & services.
  • Identifies training needs, assists in the development of training programs and ensures successful implementation of training for all consumer loan personnel.
  • Hires, develops and evaluates lending personnel.
  • Addresses unresolved member issues or concerns.
  • Collaborates with sales staff in any new product roll-outs.
  • Establishes and develops business relationships with appropriate business partner.

 

JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Qualification Minimum

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or Economics.
  • Minimum 3 years of commercial real estate lending experience.
  • 5-7 years of Supervisory Skills.
  • Formal credit training.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • PC proficiency, especially in Microsoft Excel.
  • Proven track record in working with all levels of senior management.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
As a Loan Servicing Specialist, you will be responsible for performing any and all functions relating to the servicing of loan products offered by the credit union.

Responsible for daily quality control function for consumer and real estate loans. Review loan files, applications and related documentation as well as the ITI Premier and NGP System for accuracy and completeness.  Document findings to Management and prepare monthly reports relating to missing loan documents and errors.  Prepare correspondence to ensure titles are obtained for booked auto loans.

EDUCATION:

  • High school degree; or equivalent related business experience.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of one year of related lending experience required.
  • Knowledge of loan servicing and escrow is a plus
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel applications is required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as excellent interpersonal skills to interact with members and county offices.

Collector (Part Time-25 Hours/Week)

Responsible for the control of late and/or delinquency loan accounts and pending late payment reminders.  Make follow-up telephone calls on delinquent loan accounts and maintain accurate records on delinquent loan accounts.  Optimize collections on accounts while balancing the goodwill of members with the overall business interests of the credit union.

Duties and Responsibilities

 

  • Monitor payments for late and/or delinquency status.  Follow up on delinquent, high-balance, and overdue credit balance accounts by phone and/or letter.  Ensure professional interface with members.
  • Contact high balance and/or delinquent members by telephone and mail to determine the reasons for balance or delinquency, and assist them in developing plans to bring accounts to a current status.  Develop workout plans and collect on overdue accounts whenever possible.
  • Notify co-signers regarding status of delinquent accounts.
  • Update files and system accounts via the credit union’s delinquent loan recovery system.
  • Secure credit bureau reports. Skip trace on loan accounts.  Maintain accurate data for repossessions, bankruptcy files, charge-off list, etc.
  • Research payroll deductions, stops, starts, and changes as they may affect the status of a loan repayment.
  • Assist members with delinquent real-estate loans to resolve delinquency.
  • Determine when to compromise and settle balances and when to initiate foreclosure or repossession proceedings.
  • Determine when loan collateral should be repossessed, and serve a liaison with attorneys or agencies in handling repossession of collateral.

Experience

 

  • Successful candidates must have Bank/Credit Union experience.
  • Requires strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and member service skills with the ability to organize and prioritize.

  • Determine collateral needs and payment plans for members applying for loans.
  • Determine eligibility of loan co-maker’s statement and credit rating.
  • Approve or deny loan applications.
  • When a loan is denied, explain reasons for denial in a professional, courteous manner.  Work with member to provide recommendations or alternative options for other possible ways to secure a loan in the future. 
  • Verify the accuracy of loan amounts and repayment terms on approved loan applications.
  • Complete loan documents and disburse loans when approved.
  • Implement new loan products and services in accordance with management directions.
  • Cross-sell lending and other credit union products.

Credit Analyst/Administrator Business Lending

ESSENTIAL FUNCTION

  • Work in concert with MBL officer to ensure the delivery of business loan services to prospective and existing members;
  • Work in concert with MBL by following up on new business, sales calls, obtaining applications and requisite business and personal financial statements, tax returns, aging reports and other information necessary to underwrite credit requests
  • Ordering and evaluating public record data including lien searches, litigation and judgment searches, individual and business credit reports and borrower specific industry data
  • Ordering and evaluating real estate appraisals, equipment valuations, environmental assessment reports (Phase I) and other data submitted in support of collateral condition and values
  • Analyze personal financial statement, corporate financial statements, federal tax returns, and other financial reports as required by specific loan request
  • Prepare full and complete underwriting for commercial real estate and business loan requests, including but not limited to credit, financial, risk and market analyses.
  • Assigning the appropriate credit risk rating to each Member relationship
  • Prepare Letters of Intent/Term Sheets and  Letters of Commitment
  • Assist with the closing of member business loans.
  • Maintenance of business loan credit files that exhibit appropriate due diligence relative to credit exposure to satisfy internal and external auditors and NCUA examiners.
  • Maintenance of tickler system  for on-going portfolio management of business lending relationships.
  • Prepare in depth credit, financial and risk analyses for renewals and restructures, including but not limited to loan terms and conditions, including pricing, rate of repayment, and loan exposure.
  • Accompany MBL and NBD on sales calls, and meetings, lending events as appropriate.

Education:

  • Requires two years of college or an Associate’s Degree.

Experience:

  • Requires at least six years of prior work experience.
