Network Administrator

CUNJ has an immediate opening for a Network Administrator.

Responsibilities include:

  • Performs installation, primary support, maintenance, upgrade and troubleshooting on network hardware and software in a production environment including but not limited to: Windows Server, Citrix, VMware, and Cisco. 
  • Performs daily server backups, backup verification, and maintains archiving and recovery procedures.
  • Facilitates the planning of component and feature upgrades, and plans & participates in scheduled off-hours service outage upgrades.
  • Manages, primary support, plans, documents, failover for all facets of LAN/WAN software, security, and hardware.
  • Supports, maintains, and deploys network security, wireless management, firewall maintenance, data encryption, host security management, VPN, file permissions, and disaster recovery plans.

Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree (B. S.) from four-year college or university in computer science, or similar, and a minimum of five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Knowledge and experience should include:

  • Establishing and configuring network and server security schemes, including firewalls, IPS, content filtering, workstation and server protection;
  • Microsoft, Citrix and Cisco technologies, including support, design and implementation with knowledge in the following areas: IIS, SQL, Routing, iSCSI;
  • Enterprise server and storage virtualization (VMware and NetApp);

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT (SEG DEVELOPMENT) REP

Reporting to the Business Development Manager, successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out the credit union’s business development activities and strategies that promote credit union growth through the recruitment of new Select Employer Groups (SEGs) and coordinating initial new member on-boarding process. 

Essential Duties and Primary Responsibilities:

  • Prospect and recruit new SEGs and increase membership penetration within existing SEGs by making frequent on‑site contacts to enroll new members and maximize employee penetration at new SEGS within the first 120 days of recruitment.  Establish and maintain a good working relationship with new and existing SEGs by identifying, establishing and working closely with SEG Ambassadors. Attend Chamber of Commerce and networking events to promote Aspire FCU and prospect for new SEG opportunities.

CONSUMER LOAN CONSULTANT

Aspire Federal Credit Union has a great opportunity for a Consumer Loan Consultant.

With a strong sales orientation, successful candidate will be responsible for taking new loan applications, pursuing loan opportunities, cross-selling appropriate products and services, and following up with members to actively promote the funding/closing of approved loans.  This position is designed to improve the credit union’s conversion rate of phone calls into approved loan applications, improve the quality of loan applications taken, increase product penetration, and reduce the number of approved but not funded loans.

TITLE:  MEMBER EXPERIENCE CONSULTANT

DEPARTMENT:  MEMBER EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION

Summary of Position

Serve as primary point of contact and day-to-day liaison between the New Jersey Credit Union League (NJCUL) and New Jersey credit unions. Provide operational and financial analysis and advice to member credit unions to ensure their successful operation.  Utilizing a consultative approach, will identify any pain points and will work to create relationships with credit unions built on trust.  Establish and maintain relationships with entities that provide resources and with subject matter experts who have knowledge of programs and services available to small asset sized credit unions.

Essential Functions

1.    Serve as liaison and communication line between NJCUL and member credit unions.

2.    Initiate and sustain on-going contact with credit unions in the state of New Jersey.

3.    Inform and update credit unions regarding NJCUL initiatives, programs, services, activities, education, and training.

4.    Provide ”hands on” assistance in areas of management and operations to include:

a.    Evaluating and providing recommendations relative to credit union performance on an as needed basis;
b.    assisting with implementing recommendations/solutions and ensuring necessary carry –through assistance;
c.    supporting and increasing awareness of compliance, governmental, and consumer affairs programmatic and grassroots initiatives;
d.    managing projects and programs;

5.    Perform operational and financial analysis of individual credit unions, utilizing Asset / Liability Management (ALM) techniques, and provide recommendations to support the institution’s financial integrity, safety and soundness.

6.    Keep management informed by documenting field activity in database for internal purposes.

7.    Communicate all regulatory and compliance assistance needs to the Compliance Department.

8.    Enhance and promote NJCUL education programs with credit union professionals.

9.    Provide awareness of credit union resources products and services to member, non-member and associate member credit unions.

10.    Perform other duties as assigned.

Experience Required:

TITLE:  Credit Union Services Consultant

DEPARTMENT:  Marketing and Business Development

Summary of Position

Professional Services Group of New Jersey works to evaluate the needs of credit unions and recommend products and services to best serve each individual credit union’s needs. PSG works to cultivate partnerships between outside organizations and credit unions that facilitate growth and create operational efficiencies.

PSG’s Credit Union Consultant will work to create relationships with credit unions built on trust. While utilizing a consultative sales approach work to eliminate some of the pain points of those credit unions by demonstrating how individual business partners’ products and services can help.

Key elements of the position are both understanding the credit union cooperative business model, understanding the financial services industry and the ability to learn the basic product and service offerings of PSG’s business partners.

Essential Functions

•    75% of time should be spent in direct contact (face-to-face, email, phone) servicing assigned credit union accounts with respect to uncovering pain points, identifying business needs and developing/presenting product solutions.
•    Attend chapter meetings and other credit union events (branch openings, member appreciation days, annual meetings, etc.) when possible and appropriate (for visibility and networking purposes).
•    Keep management informed by documenting field activity in database for internal purposes.
•    Actively participate in pipeline meetings and schedule field visits where appropriate with PSG business partners and have a solid working knowledge of their products/services.  
•    Attend/participate in scheduled PSG board and internal staff meetings.

Lending Services Manager/Director of Lending

Chief Financial Officer

Position: Chief Financial Officer with McGraw-Hill Federal Credit Union (www.mcgrawhillfcu.org

Overview of responsibilities: Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer/President, responsible for providing strategic leadership for a progressive credit union by working with the Management Team to establish long-range goals, strategies, plans and policies. The CFO will be looked upon to improve operations as we transition to a remote service delivery operating platform.  She/he is a member of the Executive Team and will Chair ALCO  provide infrastructure and support to the Credit Union Service Organization (CUSO) which is a Registered Investment Advisory (RIA) business and as well as the credit union’s Foundation (V.O.I.C.E Foundation).

Education Requirements:  A commitment to learning is key to the success of this position therefore a Master’s degree, CPA (Active), CMA, or CGMA are also, strongly preferred.

Experience Requirements:  Prior Bank of Credit Union experience strongly preferred.  10+ years of progressive business experience.  5 - 7 years supervisor experience.  Demonstrated ability to lead people and drive results through others.
