Consumer Loan Underwriter

North Jersey Federal Credit Union is a full-service financial institution located in Totowa, NJ.   We are currently searching for a: Consumer Loan Underwriter

SUMMARY:  Serves as the primary centralized lending underwriter for consumer loan decisions. Receives and evaluates customer loan requests. Acts as a resource for information regarding loan decisions, customer loan inquiries, and company lending products and services. Responsible to grant or deny loans within limits assigned and to provide the highest quality of service to our customers attempting to maximize the number of service relationships the customer has with the organization.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Receives member loan requests, processes, evaluates and underwrites loan requests using judgment and discretion in making decisions to satisfy the member needs. Loans outside of guidelines or approval parameters are escalated to the AVP of Lending, or VP of Lending / Operations with a recommendation as to the loan decision for each loan.

Analyze credit reports for all accounts, verify debts, estimate monthly payments for any outstanding debts not listed and add them to debts on application. 

Calculate debt-to-income ratios on loan applicants and calculate how much of a loan applicant’s debt is secured or unsecured.  Determine collateral needs and payment plans for applicants.

Marketing/Communications Manager

Inspire Federal Credit Union, located in Bristol, PA, with a community charter serving Bucks County, is seeking a Marketing/Communications Manager. The candidate will work closely with the SVP/Chief Relationship Officer as a key part of the marketing team. The candidate will have primary responsibilities for research, planning, creating and delivery of marketing communications to the community, membership and staff.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  1. Assists SVP/CRO in planning, developing, implementing and evaluating all marketing goals, strategies, activities and expenditures (budgeting) based on goals and objectives outlined by senior management and Board of Directors.  Ensures that goals and objectives are met and makes recommendations for improvement and future direction.
  2. Assists with the planning, developing, writing and publishing of all Inspire FCU advertising and promotional materials.  Maintains and updates material, as needed.
  3. Perform basic/intermediate layout and design work (brochures, ads, web etc..) and work directly with external design firms as needed.
  4. Maintains Inspire FCU website, branding efforts, and is responsible for all social media relations.
  5. Copy writing for promotions, newsletter, media/press releases, and staff communication materials in addition to any other delivery channels as needed.
  6. Ensures overall quality, quantity, accuracy, timeliness and tracking of all marketing related activities and communicates such to the department Vice President.
  7. Represents the Credit Union in the following manner: through participation in community events and functions, through contact with external marketing/media contacts, and through the development and maintenance of positive vendor relationships.
  8. Plan and schedule newspaper and other major media advertising such as radio, television, etc. and work with media relations vendors to execute marketing campaigns across multiple delivery channels.
  9. Assist SVP/CRO in creation of comprehensive Strategic Marketing Plan.
  10. Provide support to Marketing/Business Development staff for special projects and events.
  11. Conduct regular competitive research to monitor products and services in the marketplace, ensuring there are no competitive gaps in our products. Make recommendations to management for product and service enhancements that support the long-term strategic vision.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field of study, or equivalent commensurate experience.
  • 2-3 years of experience in marketing, advertising, journalism, or public relations.
  • 1-2 years of experience in copywriting, writing, editing, and proofreading.

Branch Manager, Bristol, PA

LENDING MANAGER

NJ Credit Union League Marketing & Advertising Internship (Hightstown)

The New Jersey Credit Union League (NJCUL) intern will begin their journey learning about the credit union movement (what credit unions are, the philosophy, benefits of membership, etc.). From there the intern will build on the foundation set by the summer intern program to increase awareness of credit unions, generate buzz and further the Banking You Can Trust (BYCT) brand throughout New Jersey. The intern should utilize a variety of advertising mediums and include social media, guerilla style marketing (such as on-campus events) and traditional forms of media. The intern will also be on hand to enhance the current traditional and social media avenues of the BYCT brand and help with various tasks related to those efforts.

Hours
Preferably the intern will be in the office for 10 hours each week during their internship program. A schedule can be crafted based on current class and work schedules. Please note that additional hours may be spent at off-site events that help market Banking You Can Trust to college students through on-campus events.

Senior Business Consultant

Role
Manage and establish relationships with credit unions and act as a key contact and liaison between credit unions and Alloya in the Metro New York and Long Island territory. Plan, coordinate and develop business plans and business activity in the assigned territory. Meet and/or exceed sales goals.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain relationships with credit union members, non-members, leagues, chapters, vendors etc. Actively participate in league and credit union activities.  
  • As per an established sales process, establish new member and vendor relationships in a defined territory.
  • Grow market share of investment, loan and correspondent services products. Ensure activity levels are consistently generating enough leads to meet or exceed sales goals.
  • Oversee the implementation process of Alloya products and services for member credit unions to ensure smooth installations. Coordinate on-site training for Alloya products and services as required.
  • Maintain a thorough knowledge of Alloya's products and services.
  • Work closely with members of the Success Teams assigned for each member. Take a leadership role on that team to guide, direct and coordinate all sales efforts for each assigned member.
  • Record member dialogue and sales progress into the organization’s CRM database.  
  • Report on trends in sales territory/market segment for potential product and service enhancements as well as new product opportunities.
  • Contribute significantly to developing the elements of the annual sales plan.

Job Summary: Perform financial transactions in person, by phone or by mail. Must be able to multitask. Conduct transactions with speed, accuracy and efficiency in accordance with credit union policies and procedures. Explain a basic number of credit union products and services to members.   • Cash share drafts/checks and process withdrawals; pay out money after verification

  • Maintain an up-to-date and comprehensive knowledge on all credit union products and
  • services that are handled or promoted by tellers. Maintain an up-to-date and
  • comprehensive knowledge on all related policies, procedures, and rules and regulations,
  • including robbery procedures.
  • Cross-sell and promote other credit union services.
  • Receive consumer loan, home loan and other payments, and ensure accuracy when
  • posting.
  • Balance cash drawer at the end of the shift and compare totaled amounts to computer generated balance sheet. Research and resolve discrepancies. Report any discrepancy
  • to the supervisor as necessary.
  • Scan daily work and perform such other teller functions that might be needed from time
  • to time, and assist others to complete tasks and work assignments.
  • Ensure that teller station is properly stocked with forms, supplies, brochures, etc.

Experience:
Prior Teller and/or cash handling experience preferred.
