Programmer - Credit Union of New Jersey

Mortgage Loan Closer - Novartis FCU

Novartis Federal Credit Union has a mortgage loan closer position available in our rapidly growing mortgage department. The closer would be responsible for reviewing loan files, preparing loan documents, summaries of conditions and fees for closing. The closer also prepares closing instructions and coordinates loan closing with outside vendors, attorneys, title companies etc. In addition, the closer would complete information for settlement, delivery, and would review documents at post-closing.
This position interacts with other related departments within the mortgage department and the credit union. The closer will also keeps up to date on internal and regulatory changes.

Qualifications
Education: High School graduate or equivalent – college degree a plus.
Experience - At least 1 year working in a mortgage or loan department performing closing duties.

Director of Information Technology - Novartis FCU

Novartis Federal Credit Union has a mid-level position available in our IT/IS department. This position works closely with all credit union departments, keeping all IT/IS related issues in compliance and integrating smoothly with daily operations. The Director of IT helps plan and coordinate all Information Technology needs of the credit union and reports directly to the VP of Administration.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the core credit union systems (Fiserv-Datasafe); desktop computers, network administration and daily server security reviews.  In addition, IT policy and procedures, compliance and regulatory oversight of the systems will be required. Compliance/Security Officer - XCEL FCU

XCEL Federal Credit Union with its Operations Center located in Bloomfield, NJ is seeking an experienced Compliance/Security Officer to assume the responsibility of efficient, effective and accurate performance of Compliance/Security Officer functions with working knowledge of credit union operations.

This position is responsible for the credit union’s overall compliance and security program. Job Summary:

Responsible for analyzing loan applicants’ credit history. Approve or deny loan applications based on analysis. Operate with substantial credit authority. Provide information on credit union products and services to members in accordance with credit union policies and procedures and State and Federal rules and regulations.

  • Gather background information on loan applicants and obtain credit bureau reports.

Indirect Loan Officer

Home Equity / Mortgage Processor

North Jersey Federal Credit Union has an opening for a HE / Mortgage Processor in its Totowa branch.

Job Summary:
Answer questions from members on real estate loans and rates.  Gather and analyze financial information on members for the purpose of determining qualifying status for mortgage loans.  Provide member with applications, interview for routine loans or to obtain additional information, and set appointments with mortgage officer.  Review real estate loan documents for accuracy.

Essential Functions:

  • Assist in interview of applicant and requests specified information for real estate loan application.
  • Process applications and verify accuracy for second mortgage open-end and closed-end loans.  Follow-up with members to obtain any documentation.
  • Order the credit report, appraisal, title search and any other documents necessary to complete the processing of the R/E loan application.
  • Correspond with or interview applicant or creditors to resolve questions regarding application information.
  • Request flood certification to determine if property is or is not in flood zone.
  • Ensure Note and Disclosures are complete and accurate according to policy.
  • Confer with the Underwriter and/or Branch Manager to aid in resolving mortgage application problems.
  • Establish repayment and interest schedule based upon loan guidelines and rates.
  • Prepare closing package, researching and resolving all items in the closing package to ensure closing process is on-time and documentation is complete and accurate.
  • Calculate closing costs and provide a good faith estimate to members.
  • Must comply with applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control.
