Volunteer Training for the New Jersey City University Fair (Liberty Savings FCU) - 3/5/2013

10:00 AM
12:00 PM

New Jersey credit unions will host their first ever Financial Reality Fair for college students on Tuesday, April 2nd at New Jersey City University, sponsored by Liberty Savings FCU.

Because this Fair is for college students, and the student population at New Jersey City University is mostly non-traditional students of a higher age range, the Reality Fair program has been modified to fit this age group. The League has included different options available at the various booths and the budget worksheet that each student receives is more customized to their current monthly expenses, including rent, student loans, and any dependents the student might have.

Because of these changes, those who wish to volunteer must attend a volunteer training session for this Fair, even if they have volunteered for Fairs in the past. NJCUL will offer training on March 5th from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the JCEA Building adjacent to 1590 Kennedy Blvd. Jersey City, N.J. The League allotted two-hours for the training, though it may not take the entire time period, depending on how many questions attendees have.

For more information on this Fair and to sign up for the training on March 7th, contact Marissa Anema at manema@njcul.org or 800-792-8861.
