Are You Providing "Banking You Can Trust?" Tell Us Your Story, So We Can Tell the World
Those within the credit union industry understand the lingo, the alphabet soup and most importantly the good you provide to members on a daily basis.
You don't see your members as account numbers or fee income, instead you see them as people, even members of your credit union family. Because of this relationship, credit unions serve their members in a personal and unique way that is unlike other financial institutions.
It's easy to tout that New Jersey credit unions offer "Banking You Can Trust", but wouldn't it be better to show all New Jersey consumers just what we mean? There are real stories about credit unions helping real people behind that tagline and we want to ensure that all NJ residents know those stories.
We want to hear personal accounts of a credit union helping a family avoid foreclosure and remain in their home, helping a high school student finance the college education they never thought they could afford, helping a small business get off the ground, and more.
The New Jersey Credit Union League is asking you to tell us your stories. Each quarter credit union submissions will be evaluated and a winner will be chosen. The winner will receive:
- Featured article on the cover of the Weekly Exchange
- Framed reprint of the story
- Featured article in the NJ CU Digest (our legislative newsletter)
- Story featured on homepage of the League Web site
- Story sent to local press via NJCUL contacts
- Certificate certifying your credit union as providing "Banking You Can Trust"
This is about more than winning an award, it's about helping us better position credit unions with the media and with lawmakers as important players in the financial services marketplace that are helping consumers and the economy.
Send your entries to the Marketing Department at news@njcul.org. League employees will read and vote on stories and a winner will be announced at the beginning of the next quarter. Anyone can submit a story: tellers, boards, marketing professionals, CEOs, etc.
For more information or questions, please contact Director of Marketing & Communications Candice Nigro at cnigro@njcul.org or ext. 110 or Marketing and Communications Assistant Marissa Anema at manema@njcul.org or ext. 117.
