8:45-9:45 Telling Your Credit Union Story, Bo McDonald

Your Credit Union Story focuses on three main concepts:  Teamwork, Focused Communication and Successful Storytelling.   Let urgency drive your credit union to pull together, get noticed and get growing.

9:45-10:30   NCUA’s Office of Small CU Initiatives:  Available Resources and what is on NCUA’s Radar for 2013, Lauren Bethea

This session will discuss the Office of Small Credit Union Initiatives’ (OSCUI)  4 program areas, provide an overview of the low-income designation and 2013 training opportunities.

10:45-11:45   Increasing Revenue-Investment Strategies, Hunter Smith

With a brief economic update in addition to portfolio management, Smith will provide the information needed for CU professionals to understand the various options along with their inherent risks and rewards. 

11:45 – 12:15   Small Credit Union Resources, Angel Santos

This session will highlight the current financial situation with credit unions under $50 million in assets and look at solutions for maximizing people and resources and areas for collaboration and resource sharing. 

1:15-2:00 The Mortgage Game:  How to Play like the Pros, Leo O’Donnell

Learn how adding a full range of home mortgage products will help you grow and retain your membership as well as compete and possibly earn some non-interest income as well!

2:00-2:30 Participation Loans:  Another Way to Gain, Jeff Miller

Learn how your CU can team up with other lenders and reduce exposure to risk and increase profits.

2:30-3:30 Strategies for Staying in the Game, Frank Michael

Michael shares how working together can result in lower operating expenses, increased access to loans, and an enhanced brain trust in making quality decisions.  This session will also address the not so positive issues including how to meet the challenge of increasing complexity in meeting compliance demands.

3:30 – 3:45 Closing and Wrap up
