Branding without Borders: Getting Your Prospects to See You as the Only One that Provides the Solution to Their Problem

(Fred Brown)

It’s not your tagline. Remember the one you developed over lunch. It’s not your logo that you had the copy store on the corner design. And most importantly, it’s not about being all things to all people. Your brand is the psychological and emotional relationship your members have with you. Think Coke, Kleenex, Google and Ivory Soap. Learn who you need to be, for the target you seek. Learn how to start and continue that relationship with more than just your products. Learn how to LIVE your brand. Learn how to develop these strategies in a cost effective manner and more importantly, use them effectively.

11:00 am - 12:00 pm

Marketing Your CU Through Media Channels

(Barbara Agin and Candice Nigro)

This session will include how to format stories (dos & don’ts), make relationships within the media and reinforce the value of story-telling. This working session will include a group activity for attendees to work with a recent or proposed publication as a takeaway from the session.

12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

1:00 pm - 2:30 pm

Innovations FCU: A True Marketing Success Story

(David Southall)

CEO, David Southall will take you through the processes he underwent taking a failing credit union from $70 Million in assets to over $150 Million in assets through the use of various internal and external means. During this time, while more than doubling the size of the membership, he also achieved the objective of attracting a younger demographic group. The average member age has decreased from 48yrs to 42 yrs.

2:30 pm - 3:30 pm

Putting Ideas Into Action

(Eric Gagliano)

The most surefire way to keep attending conferences is to show the valuable ideas you’ve learned. This session will help you to categorize, prioritize and present all of the great ideas that you’ll be taking back to your credit union from this conference. What fits into your marketing plan today and what is a great idea for later? You’ll know before you leave the conference.

3:30 pm - 4:00 pm
