HIGHTSTOWN, N.J. - The New Jersey Credit Union League will host a luncheon with Congressman Jon Runyan on August 1, 2011, at the East Windsor Holiday Inn.
The luncheon is the next in a series of public policy outreach events designed to build relations with state and federal lawmakers and give credit union leaders an opportunity to share directly with them how legislation affects their credit union's ability to serve its members.
Elected last year, Jon Runyan is New Jersey's newest congressman. His district stretches from the Pennsylvania border to the Jersey Shore, encompassing parts of Burlington, Ocean, and Camden counties.
Before his election to Congress, Jon Runyan had a distinguished NFL career playing with teams that reached the Super Bowl in 2000 and 2004. He retired as an offensive tackle with the Philadelphia Eagles at the end of the 2010 season.
